The first CTLS PtF (permit-to-fly) airplane has been updated into an EASA Restricted Type Certificate airplane. The German aviation authority (LBA) has just awarded it a new certificate of airworthiness.   “The total upgrade included changes to make the aircraft compliant to the applicable Type Design and the same comprehensive checks which we do with a newly produced aircraft. On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, the first public flight of the Flight Design F2e took place at the Strausberg airfield, near Strausberg Germany. The aircraft is based on the newly developed F2 from Flight Design with an integrated safety cell and is equipped with an innovative electric propulsion system.
