FLIGHT DESIGN FRANCE – CTLS 525KG ULTRALIGHT CERTIFICATION

We are pleased to announce that the CTLS GT Grand Touring has been successfully registered by Flight Design France as a 525kg Ultralight and that the airplanes now can be registered in France at 525kg max takeoff weight, the French aviation Authority has issued the revision of the Fiche d ’identification which was previously limited to 472.5kg to 525kg. FLIGHT DESIGN CTLS SERIES APPROVED FOR 600KG BY DAeC

Flight Design general aviation is happy to announce that the popular CTLS series is now certified by the German Aeroclub (DAeC) for 600kg Maximum Takeoff Mass. This allows Flight Design to deliver new CTLS with the increased utility of operating with a higher useful load and owners to be upgraded to the 600kg limit through a program at the Flight Design maintenance facility at Kindel airfield, Eisenach. CTLS PTF TO RTC UPGRADES INCREASE

After the recently issued EASA Restricted Type Certificate for the first CTLS in Germany, Spain now follows. The Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AGENCIA ESTATAL DE SEGURIDAD AÉREA) has just awarded the updated certificate of airworthiness for the first CTLS PTF upgrade to R-TC in Spain.“These significant upgrades are a combination of detailed work and new equipment said Flight Design CEO, Daniel Guenther. CTLS – FIRST PERMIT-TO-FLY RE-REGISTRATION

The first CTLS PtF (permit-to-fly) airplane has been updated into an EASA Restricted Type Certificate airplane. The German aviation authority (LBA) has just awarded it a new certificate of airworthiness.   “The total upgrade included changes to make the aircraft compliant to the applicable Type Design and the same comprehensive checks which we do with a newly produced aircraft.
