CTLS at the DAeC-NRW annual meeting 2010-11-23
The presidents of the 250 flying clubs in NRW Germany, the largest section inside the German Aeroclub (DAeC) had their annual meeting. A CTLS did show the actual possibilities in the EASA ELA 1 class in Europe. The CTLS will be certified by EASA beginning of 2011 and with 600 kg MTOW can be flown either with JAR-FCL, PPL, NPPL or the new LAPL Pilot License. ICAO type designator for MC 2010-11-15
ICAO type designator was allocated for Flight Design MC
On November 4th an ICAO type designator was allocated for the Flight Design MC. Please refer in your ATC flight plans to ”FD MC”. The CT has since many years a type allocator, just for remembering it is ”FD CT” for all types.

Fantastic journey on CTLS Flight Design 2010-11-01
First flight Ken with his wife Nancy got on Flight Design CTLS in 2008. And since then they have made two trips to San Diego, California, and back to their home in Pensacola, Florida, in addition to many other trips around the United States.

Flight Design Announces New Airframe & Powerplant Training Classes 2010-10-26
South Woodstock, CONNECTICUT / October 25, 2010 - Flight Design has delivered more Light-Sport Aircraft than any other producer with double the next closest and more than ¹3 and ¹4 combined. Taking care of that many CT series aircraft is a national effort. To assure more than 325 customers have well-trained service centers, Flight Design USA offers factory-approved courses for their dealers and non-affiliated mechanics who are asked to perform maintenance. Owners may also participate.
