Flight Design Enjoys High Activity and Interest at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2012!
Flight Design assumed a major presence at this year’s annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, the world’s largest aviation event, being held July 23-29, 2012.
At the Flight Design display, which was perfectly situated directly inside the main entrance, were two CTLS, a CTLS Floatplane and both exterior and interior full-scale mock-ups of the new C4 now under development.
The interior mock-up, which showed how roomy and comfortable the C4 will be for its lucky occupants, was making it’s U.S. debut at the Oshkosh show and was received with great enthusiasm and interest. Also on display were the new Continental IO-360-AF (alternative fuel) engine that will power the C4 as well as the recently introduced fuel-injected Rotax 912iS which will be installed in all new CTLSi models which are now beginning deliveries to anxious customers.
Flight Design’s show display was staffed by Flight Design personnel from both the company and
our dealer and flight school network from across the U.S. Visiting the show from Flight Design Germany were CEO, Matthias Betsch, and Technical Director, Oliver Reinhardt. At Flight Design’s press conference, Flight Design management updated the media on progress with the C4 program, new Dealer and Flight School appointments as well as work Flight Design is leading with various governmental agencies to improve the efficiency of the certification process, enabling new, safer aircraft to be brought to market at more affordable prices.
Overall, this was a most successful show for Flight Design and served to distinguish our aircraft as the clear leaders in this growing market segment.
